Switch Configuration

Switch Configuration defines the connection parameters for the Mideye Switch — the backend service that handles SMS delivery, mobile app push notifications, and Magic Link authentication. In environments without external network access, air-gapped mode disables these features.

Navigate to Server Settings → Switch Configuration to access this page.

| Field | Description | Default | Validation | |-------|-------------|---------|------------| | Primary Host | Hostname or IPv4 address of the primary Mideye Switch instance. | — | Required when not air-gapped. Validated as a valid hostname or IPv4 address. | | Secondary Host | Hostname or IPv4 address of the failover Mideye Switch instance. | — | Required when not air-gapped. Validated as a valid hostname or IPv4 address. | | Port | TCP port for the Switch connection. This value is customer-specific and provided by Mideye Support. | — | Required when not air-gapped. Must be between 1 and 65535. | | Air-Gapped Mode | Enables offline operation without Mideye Switch connectivity. | Disabled | — |

Hostname and IPv4 validation is performed asynchronously against the server. Validation is skipped for unchanged values.

To update the Switch addresses, navigate to Server Settings → Switch Configuration and set:

  • Primary Host: switch1.mideye.com or 94.237.32.75
  • Secondary Host: switch2.mideye.com or 94.254.89.193

Save the changes when done.

The Mideye Switch has been migrated to new hostnames and IP addresses. Two changes are required, in this order:

  1. Firewall: Allow outbound traffic to the new IP addresses on your customer-specific Switch port. The old and new IP addresses can coexist in the firewall — keeping both open during the transition period is recommended.
  2. Mideye Server: Update the Switch Configuration as described on this page.

New addresses (active from April 27, 2026)

Section titled “New addresses (active from April 27, 2026)”

| Role | Hostname | IP Address | |------|----------|------------| | Primary | switch1.mideye.com | 94.237.32.75 | | Secondary | switch2.mideye.com | 94.254.89.193 |

Previous addresses (valid until May 22, 2026)

Section titled “Previous addresses (valid until May 22, 2026)”

| Role | Hostname | IP Address | |------|----------|------------| | Primary | primary.mideye.com | 217.151.192.84 | | Secondary | secondary.mideye.com | 79.136.112.54 |

The previous addresses remain operational during the transition period and may be kept open in the firewall in parallel with the new addresses until May 22, 2026.

When Air-Gapped Mode is enabled, the Primary Host, Secondary Host, and Port fields become optional. A warning alert is displayed listing the features that are disabled in this mode:

  • SMS authentication — one-time passwords via SMS cannot be delivered.
  • Mideye+ — mobile app push authentication is unavailable.
  • Magic Link authentication — email-based passwordless login is unavailable.
  • Mideye Shield — the threat intelligence service requires external connectivity.
