Configure Mideye Switch Cloud Connection

The Mideye Switch is the cloud service that delivers OTPs via SMS and push notifications to the Mideye+ app. Each customer has a unique TCP port for secure communication.

The Switch configuration tab is the settings for all outgoing connections between the Mideye Server and Mideye central cloud service. The switch port is a customer-specific port, that will be obtained from the Mideye Support.

The switch hosts should normally not be changed. However, if the Mideye Server can not lookup hostnames, IP addresses can be added instead.

To edit the hostname of the Switch Configuration navigate to ConfigurationSwitch Configuration.

Set:
Switch Host: switch1.mideye.com or 94.237.32.75
Switch Backup Host: switch2.mideye.com or 94.254.89.193
and save the changes.

The Mideye Switch has been migrated to new hostnames and IP addresses. Two changes are required, in this order:

  1. Firewall: Allow outbound traffic to the new IP addresses on your customer-specific Switch port. The old and new IP addresses can coexist in the firewall — keeping both open during the transition period is recommended.
  2. Mideye Server: Update the Switch Configuration as described on this page.
