Switch Configuration

Switch Configuration defines the connection parameters for the Mideye Switch — the backend service that handles SMS delivery, mobile app push notifications, and Magic Link authentication. In environments without external network access, air-gapped mode disables these features.

Navigate to Server Settings → Switch Configuration to access this page.

FieldDescriptionDefaultValidation
Primary HostHostname or IPv4 address of the primary Mideye Switch instance.Required when not air-gapped. Validated as a valid hostname or IPv4 address.
Secondary HostHostname or IPv4 address of the failover Mideye Switch instance.Required when not air-gapped. Same validation as Primary Host.
PortTCP port for the Switch connection.Required when not air-gapped. Must be between 1 and 65535.
Air-Gapped ModeEnables offline operation without Mideye Switch connectivity.Disabled

Hostname and IPv4 validation is performed asynchronously against the server. Validation is skipped for unchanged values.

When Air-Gapped Mode is enabled, the Primary Host, Secondary Host, and Port fields become optional. A warning alert is displayed listing the features that are disabled in this mode:

  • SMS authentication — one-time passwords via SMS cannot be delivered.
  • Mideye+ — mobile app push authentication is unavailable.
  • Magic Link authentication — email-based passwordless login is unavailable.
  • Mideye Shield — the threat intelligence service requires external connectivity.
