Terms of Service — Mideye RCS OTP & Activation Chatbot

Welcome! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mideye RCS/RBM chatbot (the "Service"), operated by Mideye AB ("we," "us," "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service Does
The Service is an automated RCS Rich Business Messaging ("RBM") chatbot that supports secure login and onboarding for services protected by Mideye AB.
Specifically, the chatbot may:
- Send one-time passwords (OTPs) for secure login, and/or
- Send activation links for Mideye+ apps when a user is setting up or activating Mideye protection.
The Service is limited to these purposes and does not provide general customer support or marketing messages.
2. Which Services Are Covered
The chatbot may be used to authenticate or activate access to any service that has implemented Mideye protection (i.e., customers of Mideye AB).
Typical examples include:
- Corporate VPNs
- Login portals or identity gateways
- Other enterprise applications where the user is authorized to log in
You may only use the Service for systems you are legitimately permitted to access.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if:
- You are at least the age of digital consent in your country, and
- You are an authorized user of a service protected by Mideye AB.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use OTPs and activation links only for your own access and setup.
- Keep OTPs confidential and never share them.
- Use activation links only on devices you control and for accounts you own or are assigned.
- Notify your organization's IT/admin or Mideye support if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for all activity through your account/device, whether or not you authorized it.
5. Security and OTP Validity
OTPs are single-use and time-limited.
Activation links may be single-use and may also expire after a set period.
We may adjust limits, validity windows, or verification controls to protect users and systems.
We are not responsible for compromises caused by:
- You sharing an OTP or activation link,
- malware or compromise on your device,
- loss/theft of your device or SIM,
- carrier/network failures beyond our control.
6. RCS/RBM Delivery and Availability
RCS/RBM delivery depends on your mobile carrier, device compatibility, and network conditions.
You understand that:
- Messages may be delayed or fail to deliver.
- Delivery is not guaranteed on all devices/carriers.
- Carriers may apply their own terms or restrictions.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Attempt to bypass, overload, probe, scan, or test the Service's security.
- Request OTPs or activation links for accounts/services you do not own or control.
- Interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Automate OTP requests outside normal login behavior.
We may suspend or block access if misuse or fraud is suspected.
8. Privacy and Data Processing
Your privacy matters. Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Notice:

In summary:
- We process only what's needed to deliver OTPs/activation links and prevent fraud.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We retain data only as long as required for security, delivery, and compliance.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and all associated software, branding, and content are owned by Mideye AB or our licensors and protected by applicable laws.
You receive a limited, revocable right to use the Service solely to receive OTPs and activation links for your authorized accounts.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties such as:
- Mobile network operators/carriers
- RCS/RBM platform providers
- Security and fraud-prevention infrastructure
We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by parties outside our reasonable control.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms to improve security, compliance, or functionality.
Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where required, providing additional notice. Continued use means you accept updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- Misuse or fraud is detected,
- Required by law/carrier policy, or
- The Service is discontinued.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee:
- Instant or uninterrupted message delivery,
- RCS/RBM support on all devices/carriers,
- Error-free operation.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Mideye AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months (if any).
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
Disputes will be handled by the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
