Login with Mideye+

Authentication methods available with your Mideye+ app

Once you've activated the Mideye+ app, your logins will use one of several authentication methods depending on your configuration and network connectivity. This guide describes Touch Accept, SMS OTP, offline challenge-response, and Magic Link authentication modes.

Depending on your configuration, network connectivity, and how your administrator has set up the service, you may encounter one of the following login methods:

1

How Does Touch Accept Work?

A push notification is sent to the Mideye+ app on your phone. The app displays a login request with details about the authentication. Tap Accept to approve the login, or Reject to deny it. This is the fastest and most convenient method when your phone has network connectivity.

2

How Does SMS OTP Work?

A one-time password (OTP) is delivered as an SMS to your phone via SMS delivery. If Mideye+ is activated, the 6-digit code is displayed directly in the app. Enter the OTP in the login dialog to complete authentication. This method is used when Touch Accept is not available or not configured.

3

How Does Offline Challenge-Response Work?

When your phone cannot be reached (no network coverage), the login screen displays a numeric challenge. Open the Mideye+ app manually, enter the challenge, and the app generates a signed response code. Enter this response in the login dialog to complete authentication.

4

How Does Magic Link Work?

If Magic Link is configured by your administrator, a notification with a unique link is delivered to the Mideye+ app instead of an SMS. Open the notification in the app and tap Accept to approve the login. Magic Link provides a streamlined experience similar to Touch Accept.

Once activated, logins will proceed according to the Mideye+ schema for the given mobile phone and mobile number. If you change mobile phone or SIM card, OTPs will become unreadable. You either need to re-activate for the new phone / SIM card, or de-activate Mideye+.
