The Windows and Linux installation packages now start Mideye Server from unpacked application files, instead of a single WAR file.
From 6.5.27 to 6.5.28-2, the Ubuntu/Debian package installed MariaDB automatically if no database was installed. The package now requires manual database installation again.
Only servers that were first installed with 6.5.27, 6.5.28 or 6.5.28-2 can be affected; servers first installed with an earlier version are not. If MariaDB came with that install, apt can suggest removing it with apt autoremove after the upgrade. Before you run apt autoremove:
- Check:
apt-mark showauto mariadb-server - If it prints
mariadb-server, runsudo apt-mark manual mariadb-server. If it prints nothing, no action is needed.
When upgrading from an earlier version on Windows, the installer may report that a reboot is required. Mideye Server keeps working; reboot when it suits you.
